Review: Tony Moly Panda Brightening Eye Base

Hi guys!  We’re back with another product review.
Today I’ll be talking about the Tony Moly Panda Brightening Eye Base.

I first came across this product on the Sephora website, but it was always out of stock.  Honestly, I only wanted it because of how cute it is :/

When Beauteque got a shipment of these, I obviously needed to get my hands on it, so I did.

What it is:  “A portable eye serum base in a stick, infused with chrysin and brightening peptides to illuminate the look of skin around the eye area”.
What is claims: “Awaken tired eyes, while you nourish the skin around the eye with this Brightening Eye Base. This lightly tinted base instantly nourishes the skin while it luminizes the skin around eyes. Infused with pearl extracts and chrysin, it can be worn alone or as a primer underneath your concealer to instantly brighten up the look of dark circles at home or on the go.”

When I first opened it, it kind of looked like a glue stick.  I don’t know why, but I was expecting it to look like the clear blue gel glue stick type, but It was just white & pretty stiff.  I was confused as to how I should apply it.  Swiping it along my under eye directly from the tube caused a lot of tugging and made me look flaky.  Then I just tried putting some onto my ring finger & dabbing it on instead, which worked a lot better!

It definitely did make my eyes look more awake & minimized dark circles.  Only thing to make note of for this is to make sure your under eye is very moisturized or it will emphasize dry spots and make you flake.  Other than that, it works pretty well and since it is “glue like” it would make a great base for applying concealer.

The cuteness of this product overlooks any cons it may have and it’s just fun to have on your vanity!  It sure does put a smile on my face seeing it every morning while getting ready 🙂

  1. It kind of reminds me of the Benefit Ooh La Lift which neither treated nor covered my dark circles so I’m avoiding this one but Tony Moly as always knocks it out of the park with packaging. Glad it worked out for you.

    1. I recently tried the Benefit Fake Up concealer which I got a free sample of & that was pretty disappointing as well! This one wasnt so bad. I’m still trying to figure out what works best with it

      1. I feel like with Benefit it’s hit or miss. They have some amazing cult status products and the ones you don’t hear much about there’s a reason for it. I hear good things about the Erase Paste though!

      2. Yeah they’re They’re Real mascara is holy grail for me, the they’re real eyeliner, not so much & there was so much hype for it. I haven’t heard of the erase paste but sounds interesting !

  2. I tried this years ago because they sell it at Urban Outfitters. I’m glad other companies are finally picking up this brand. I just love asian beauty products!
